We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst for our client in the Memphis Market.   

Job description

SUMMARY: Prepare cost analysis and product margin review, budget and prior year variances analysis, calculate financial ratios, and assist in month-end close responsibilities. Royalty reporting and forecasting as required by licensor to support requirements and monitor minimum royalties against contracts and budget. Implement consolidation of acquisitions into the standard reporting packages as applicable. Maintenance of the fixed asset system, prepare monthly capital reporting and analysis of new capital projects. Assist in month-end close process as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned.)
o Cost and margin analysis for new products and existing products to identify corrective actions on cost or pricing opportunities. Maintain the procedure for new product cost and coordinate with product management set up for margin validation on new products.
o Prepare month-end financial reporting including financial ratios, compare actual results to budget and prior year variances.
o Support the Royalty reporting requirements including forecasting required by customer, SBD with management for quarterly reporting. Publish results of royalty reporting vs. minimums and budget.
o Maintenance of the fixed asset system, monthly depreciation and amortization entries. Perform the set-up of new capital assets in Fixed Asset system to insure all capital additions, transfers, and retirements are booked timely and correctly.
o Reconcile open capital projects monthly and issue a report for CIP and capital spending.
o Prepare analysis for new capital projects based on cost analysis to determine payback and project return for management review. Prepare analysis of prior projects to compare actual results to estimated project returns.
o Assist in implementation of financial reporting data and consolidation of acquisitions into the ERP system for inclusion in the consolidated financial report.
o Month end duties as assigned including journal entries, correcting entries, and account reconciliations.
o Other work-related duties as assigned by manager. Reliable and regular attendance is expected. Maintains a clean work environment with 5S principles.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university and 3-5 year’s work experience in financial accounting and analysis. No Bank Experience.

• Must be PC literate (MS Office) and have strong data entry, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent computer skills having worked with ERP systems, extensive use of Microsoft excel and office package. Epicor, Prophet 21 experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to set priorities and work on multiple tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
